Care Instructions

STEP 1

Store in a container, preferably made out of lontar leaves to preserve the ikat’s natural colors.

STEP 2

Put cloves or “Cengkeh” in the cupboard where you store your handwoven Tenun Ikat to avoid moths and insects.

STEP 3

Hang it around the house to expose the fabric to fresh air.

STEP 4

Do not put it in a washing machine.

STEP 5

Wash by hand. Only use shampoo for colored hair, do not soak or rub. Dry in a cool place & avoid direct sunlight. 

STEP 6

Dry Clean is most recommended.
